It was fantastic to have Chris play at our Wedding in September at the Deer Park in Honiton, he helped make it such a special day. Firstly he played at our ceremony, he learnt a couple of special songs we wanted and then also had no issues on the day with an extra song being added. The songs he played during our service were so good I only wish I had a recording ofthem.
Chris then moved to play at our drinks reception outside, then moved again inside to play during our wedding breakfast, nothing is too much trouble for him.
Every guest commented on how good he was and I know many of them thanked him personally for his performance. He is a great performer really understands your special day we would recommend him to anyone.

It was a ‘no brainier’ choosing Chris Thomas for our wedding reception. We had seen him play many times before and loved his style. Chris can play anything but we loved his twist on current hits with a few ‘old favs’ thrown in to keep all ages up and on the dance floor. A few weeks before the date we asked Chris if he would sing our first dance, this was no problem for him. Chris’ version of ‘Simply the Best’ was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for more. Chris was always accommodating to what we wanted, he was professional but relaxed. Our guests all enjoyed Chris’ set and the dance floor was packed. We would recommend and hire Chris again and again. We wanted a local guitarist for our wedding at Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth, and were fortunate to find Chris. Living in London we didn’t have the chance to see Chris play live beforehand but we had no need to worry. Chris was perfect for our day. He has an excellent repertoire and fantastic voice. He was very professional and knew exactly what to do on the day. He learnt a song of my choice for my entrance to the ceremony which was perfect and really added to the emotion in the room! Chris played for our wedding celebration in July and was fantastic. As well as being very talented, he is personable and so was able to judge his audience and connect with them. He is hugely capable, able to play a wide variety of styles and very large number of songs at a high standard. Many of our wedding guests were impressed and commented to us about him and said how great he was.
He was open to our suggestions of what we thought might go down well with our guests, interpreted our requirements and selected an eclectic mix of songs which was perfect for the occasion.
Having Chris play for us was hassle-free, as he was easy to communicate with, flexible with arrangements, and on the day he calmly and efficiently set up his equipment and packed it away again afterwards. This was all an added bonus to having such a great musician entertain our guests.

“Chris played at our wedding reception on 19th December 2015 over in Avonwick at “The Barn at Baron’s Hill Farm”. Whilst guests arrived, Chris was playing his first set in the Marquee and it was great for us to arrive to the sound of the maestro at work! We first saw Chris playing at On The Rocks and were blown away by his clever arrangement and covers of a great selection of songs, so I asked if he would be available to play at our wedding and thankfully the answer was yes. Ourselves and all of our guests, with quite a few of us being musicians, loved Chris’s music and playing (particularly the work with the loop pedal) and it was the perfect fit for our big day and the relaxed atmosphere we wanted. Chris played a set in the Marquee before the food and speeches in the Barn, where his second set would be happening before he played our first dance. However, as is often the case with weddings, not everything was going to plan! Due to some timing issues and having to move furniture around, I had to ask Chris if he could move his stuff back into the Marquee and do the second set there, which happened really quickly and without any stress, so thanks Chris! It worked perfectly as people really wanted to listen to his second set, so it got them out of the Barn whilst the rearranging was happening, double bonus.
We had requested if Chris could play John Lennon’s “Real Love” for our first dance and we were delighted that he learned the song especially for us. We took longer than expected to get people in a circle (and mentally prepare ourselves lol) for the first dance, so Chris kindly kept filling with other great songs whilst that happened. Our dance was “interpretative” you could say, but mainly was just quite silly as we would have no chance of being able to do anything too serious. Chris’s beautiful playing of the song more than made up for our lack of “beautiful dancing” and he kindly noticed when we were performing our “impressive” final lift and brought the song to an end in perfect time with that. What really topped it off was how he had noticed the type of music we liked and what our audience were looking for, so without request he then finished with Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger” which got everybody singing and dancing together for his final song.
Chris is an amazing musician and was faultless in his performing, understanding and also communicating with our guests. From the start, he really helped to set the vibes for the relaxed and fun evening we wanted to spend with our guests. We can’t recommend Chris highly enough and are really looking forward to watching and catching up again with him soon!
